Who are these training camps for?
All Endurance runners who would like to know the most efficient way to train.
Learn how to have almost ‘unstoppable’ levels of stamina/endurance on as little as 2-3hrs running a week: Discover firsthand how ‘Mountain Marathon Man’ Carr, went from running 3hrs a day to only 4 hours a week, quadrupling his endurance in the process! (Note: with this volume of training Carr went on to run the second longest run in UK history with less than 35mpw running!)
One of the biggest benefits, nearly all endurance runners will take away from this camp are the principles behind ‘UET’ ultra-efficient-training: For instance you’ll be shown how, just 4-6 minutes (time of muscles under tension/weight, not time in the gym) of intense strength training a week, can allow you to achieve much faster recovery times from tough endurance running sessions, while giving you ‘Ultra Marathon’ levels of stamina and endurance on as little as 2-3 hr’s running a week (and why you never need to run more than 5hr’s a week).
Those who will benefit most are those new to trail running – or those who have considered starting trail running, but are unsure how or where to start? You’ll be taught basic navigation skills and shown how to move safely over the hills.
Having said that nearly all runners will benefit from a weekend of running trails – even if you only ever run in events on the road, trail running will have a great positive impact on your running.
The camps are for any runner, who can appreciate that running over stunning scenery with a group of like minded runners, is a terrific way to spend a weekend!

How is this training camp different to any other weekend training camp in the UK?
The most in-depth, personalised running training camps in the UK – we’ve teamed up with www.therunningschool.co.uk to be the first camp to offer ‘full body’ running gait analysis, not the typical knees down approach that only paints a small picture of what a runners body is up to. Using frame by frame analysis of a video of your running, every angle of your body through all phases of the running gait is scrutinised – what does this mean?

The analysis is done before the weekend – so when you arrive we already have ‘your’ data – we know where you’re losing economy, any obvious imbalances or incorrect movement patterns that are or might be leading to injuries will be highlighted – in short we’ll have a strength training and stretching programme designed for your body – to address your weakness and capitalise on your strengths – you’ll become stronger, faster more economical (leading to more endurance!) and most importantly of all, we’ll show you how to make ‘your body’ (not the average runners body) much less susceptible to injuries!
Who runs the camps?
All running sessions are lead or supervised by ‘MLTUK’ qualified instructors (Mountain leader Training UK) our top instructor is trained to MIA level (the highest qualification possible in the UK, for leading groups in mountainous terrain).
ACSM (American college of sports medicine – the ‘gold standard’) certified trainer designing/supervising your strength training sessions.
Plus benefit from the experience of ‘Mountain Marathon Man’ Carr – the first runner to ever run Lands End – John O’Groat’s off-road; quite possibly the toughest Endurance run in UK history!
An ultramarathon a day everyday for 6 weeks over the mountains of both England/Scotland – Unsupported!
