Shock Absorber commissioned research from the University of Portsmouth and teamed up with Dr Joanna Scurr, breast health expert to fully understand the impact running, ball sports and racket sports have on the breasts and body*.
The research found that women experience different types of breast movement and associated discomfort within each type of sport. The research findings were used to design each specialist sports bra, and each prototype was put through its paces in treadmill, jumping, lunging and anti-chafe tests.
