A new range of triathlon and running clothing
Tom Room, a professional middle distance triathlete, has added another string to his bow with the launch of an online shop called O2 Creation. He's already organising running events, see RelishRunning, but this new venture is based around a range of triathlon and running clothing plus some unique accessories.
The O2 Creation was founded in 2008 and the products are designed by Erich Felbabel, a French long distance pro athlete. The brand's tagline is 'Pain is only French bread' which comes on a range of t-shirts. In addition to the clothing they have a couple of unusual products which might make for a nice stocking filler for a runner or triathlete.
We particularly like the Flashlight Timing Band. Based on a standard neoprene and Velcro timing chip band (it will take any standard timing chip for racing) the timing chip is replaced with a safety light for running, walking or cycling. The clever part is that the light has two LEDs; a white one facing forwards and a red one facing back. A great idea for winter training, it comes in a range of colours and costs a very reasonable £15.
Also in the range are Fuel Shorts - The fuel shorts are a lycra running short with an integrated hydration system. The bottle holders form part of the shorts themselves which means they don't bounce around like other belts, nor do they ride up and put pressure on the athletes stomach. In the rear pocket are 2 zipp lock bags to keep the runners possessions safe and dry.
