After 55 days and nights on the road, the Endurancelife Real Relay reached it's final destination at the gates of the Olympic Park on Sunday 22 July
Over 200 runners ran the final 5 mile stage from Tower Bridge to the Olympic Park to mark the end of an extraordinary 8 week journey across the British Isles. The Endurancelife Real Relay left Land's End at midnight on Monday 28th May to run the entire Olympic Torch route in a non-stop 24hr relay using grassroots runners from across the British Isles.

Enroute to the Olympic Park in London, the Endurancelife Real Relay inspired more than 2,000 grassroots runners to take part, covered 7,337 miles on foot and has so far raised over £13,000 for CHICKS charity. Adding in a few detours to the actual Olympic Torch route, the Endurancelife Real Relay summited each of the UK's highest peaks: Mount Snowdon, Slieve Donard, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike.
Despite setting out ten days behind the official Olympic Torch, the Endurancelife Real Relay overtook the Torch in Dover on Wednesday 18 July to finish at the Olympic Park five days ahead of it.
Organiser Kate Treleaven from Endurancelife said: "Eight weeks ago, inspite of the sceptics, we dared to believe it was possible to pull-off a non-stop relay around the Olympic Torch route. Everyone who has taken part in the Endurancelife Real Relay over the past 55 days has helped realise an inspirational achievement that not only reflects the unique spirit of grassroots runners from across the UK and Ireland but the power of never, never, never giving up."
