Votwo Events are delighted to announce a new partnership with SCOTT as they look forward to 2013 and an ever growing race calendar. The announcement was made this week and all parties are eager to start work together as SCOTT’s 55 years experience of purveying high end sporting goods and Votwo’s of executing excellent sporting events promises to result in a thrilling year for participants.

New for 2013 includes the inaugural ‘R&R’ – a 106 mile two day trek for teams of two where one partner runs whilst the other takes it in turn to ride, making it the perfect event for couples of varying fitness levels. It will also see the return of the Eton Dorney Triathlon series held at the London Olympic’s rowing venue, and the famous Kamikaze Adventure Run. Building on recent years the next Kamikaze promises to be the best ever. Canons, smoke, flash bangs, barbed wire and cargo nets will be adorning the full eight mile course with a shortened version available ensuring that this event is a challenge suitable for most of the family.
Rhys quipped that there would be extra incentive to get out and train for the events in 2013; “SCOTT are dedicated to innovative running product from road to trail, so Votwo’s mix of challenges and races are the ideal opportunity to showcase the range to the running and triathlon community in the UK. We’ll be offering a range of shoes and clothing as prizes too, so plenty reason to get training and aim for a podium place!”
Ben Mason, Votwo’s Managing Director acknowledged that SCOTT’s timing to entry on to the scene could not have been better as the nation looks set to start 2013 with renewed vigour after the sporting triumphs of 2012. “Over the course of the last couple of years we have noticed that being fit is the status people are pursuing. Ten years ago the focus was on making money and but today there is much more kudos associated with running a marathon or completing your first triathlon! Being fit is the new rich and we at Votwo pride ourselves on supplying the ideal platform for everyone from first timers to seasoned professionals.”
