Run247 went along to the Science Museum in London (www.sciencemuseum.org.uk) yesterday for the launch of the new Lucozade Sport Champions' Choice, a new specialised sports drink.
Created from a partnership between GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) and the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1™ team, the initial project was based around providing a sports drink for Formula One drivers, which is a complicated task when you consider the strains and factors that an F1™ driver goes through; not only in the racing but travelling all over the world. The final product looks to Hydrate, Fuel and provide Focus with the inclusion of caffeine.
We were treated to a presentation about the GSK-McLaren partnership and the science behind the Champions' Choice drink. On hand were an expert panel to not only talk about sports nutrition in their chosen field, but also to answer any questions we had.

Lucozade Sport Champions Choice comes in two flavour; Lemon & Line and Mango & Passion Fruit. Clayton Green tells us that Jenson Button likes the citrus flavoured drinks!
Jenson Button is a pretty accomplished runner and triathlete himself, having recently finished 66th of over 24,000 starters when recording a 2:58:34 at the Honolulu Marathon.
