Race news: Run to the Beat powered by Nike+ - September 8, 2013
Run to the Beat powered by Nike+, London’s music half marathon, has sold out of general entry places in less than 50 days.
The event, which is bigger and better for 2013 with an increased capacity of 19,000 and new start and finish in Greenwich Park, has shown a growth in demand year on year since it started in 2008.
Although general places are sold out, charity pledge places are still available through Gold Charity Partner Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (click here for details). The charity had over 2,000 participants last year and raised more than £400,000 for the important work they do to beat blood cancer.
The 19,000 runners will be entertained by top DJ’s over the 13.1 mile course on September 8th, while spectators can enjoy the festival atmosphere in the park.
In previous years, acts have included DJ Fresh, Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah, plus some of the hottest talent on the UK DJ scene. The music line-up for this year’s event will be announced via the event’s official website in due course.
