London Chat: Steve Backley OBE

by Editor
Tuesday 11th June 2013

Run247 were at the Virgin London marathon Expo catching up with the brands, athletes and celebrities over the race week. In association with our friends at Sweatshop we have put together a series of video interviews for your enjoyment

London Chat: Steve Backley OBE

In this edition of London Chat Annie Emmerson talks to Steve Backley OBE. Not everyone at the exhibition was running the marathon, or even wanted to, and Steve Backley is one of those people.

Former world record holder for javelin throwing, Steve's career has seen four gold medals at the European Championships, three Commonwealth Games gold medals, and two silvers and a bronze at the Olympic Games.

Steve offers an insight into the mind of an elite performer and how that can help anyone looking to compete in events.

Check out London Chat for further interviews
