Event news: Salomon City Trail run - London, Barnes Common, July 27, 2013
Trail running is one of the UK’s fastest growing sports and recreational runners can have a go at a free event on Barnes Common this weekend between 10.00-15.00.
The Salomon City Trail team will set up 2km and 5km pre-marked courses for people of any age and ability to try out. It’s not a race, you go at your own pace. There’ll be a demo pool of over 500 pairs of Salomon trail shoes for testing plus Suunto heart rate watches to try. Advice on nutrition, fitness and equipment from Salomon athlete Mark Hines who won 2nd place in the Yukon Ultra Marathon and podiatric advice from Profeet, is also on hand.
Pre-register at www.salomoncitytrails.co.uk for a free pair of Salomon socks and a month’s free subscription to Ordnance Survey.
As well as being a great way to keep fit for all the family, trail running is a great way to discover your local area.
The final event is in Edinburgh on 3rd August.
