Event news: For the 8th Year running Open Adventure is presenting the Open5 Series of Adventure Races
Partnering with top Adventure Sports clothing brand Haglöfs the series looks to take on the best landscapes this country has to offer.
Run and Mountain Bike
The aim of these five hour event is to visit as many points as you can in the five hours, some controls can only be collected by mountain bike and others by foot. With the controls having differing values the key to the Haglöfs Open5 series lies in having a combination of both fitness and navigation skills.
The Haglöfs Open5 Adventure Race series is open to solos and pairs over the age of 18 wanting to take part from first timers to elite athletes. If it’s your first race why not pair up with a more experienced racer and give it a go!
James Thurlow from Open Adventure says - "The Haglöfs Open5 series takes in amazing landscapes and with the series running through the winter - you can be assured of eventful days out with all sorts of weather - days you won't forget".
Peter Rostron from Haglöfs says - "Haglöfs are proud to work with Open Adventure, the Haglöfs Open 5 are events where every detail has to be thought of, often in challenging terrain and conditions. There is a great affinity to the Haglöfs product range, it is a great testing ground for versatility as it involves both running and biking. It is a true grass route event that is suitable for novice to elite competitors played out in some of the best areas of the UK for outdoor activities, it isn’t your normal A to B event."
