Event news: Run-Fast training weekend - November 1-3, 2013
Following the success of their marathon and endurance training seminars earlier this year, Run-Fast is going one step further by hosting a training weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of November 2013 at Coldblow Farm in the heart of Kent; a mere 40 miles from Central London. The weekend is aimed at distance runners of all abilities who want to discover the best ways to unlock their running potential.
Guests will be able to take part in guided runs with athlete manager and 2:17 marathon runner Tom Payn and Run-Fast founder and coach, Peter McHugh. As well as physical training Tom and Peter will also give talks and answer questions on all aspects of distance running.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for any runner who has upcoming cross country events or spring races on their calendar to get the edge on the competition” says Payn, winner of the 2012 Ring’o’Fire Ultra Marathon and previous Bristol Half Marathon winner, “Even if you would simply like to experience what it’s like to run in a group environment or just need an excuse to get out of the city and clock up some mileage in the country air then come and join us”
Meals are included and one meal-time will provide an opportunity to dine on what is considered one of the ‘secrets’ to Kenyan athletes’ success: Ugali.
Coldblow Farm is situated on top of the Kent Downs, 600 feet above sea level. The region is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the farm is close to both the North Downs Way and Pilgrims Way.
