It is a well-known fact that many triathletes come from a running background. Runners looking to keep fit during injury, add something to their routine or simply try something new take up the sport and more often than not become hooked.

On 31 May / 1 June 2014 the main event of the triathlon calendar returns to Hyde Park in London. Entry is now open for the PruHealth World Triathlon London across a range of distances so for those of you who are a bit unsure about the swim or the bike sections there are no excuses.

As well as welcoming the world’s best triathletes back to London and the iconic Olympic triathlon venue, there will be a greater emphasis this year on the mass participation races where people will be able to enter their first triathlon.

PruHealth World Triathlon London - May 31-June 1, 2014

The PruHealth World Triathlon London forms parts of the ITU World Triathlon Series and UK Sport’s Gold Event Series, an ambitious National Lottery funded programme which aims to bring up to 70 world-class sporting events to Great Britain over the next six years to help build a strong legacy from London 2012.

What makes this event so special is that people who have never done a triathlon before get to race on the same course as the pros including Alistair Brownlee (London 2012 Olympic Gold Medal Winner) and Non Stanford (Current ITU World Triathlon Champion).

Entry Details

An entry ballot is now open. Entries will be allocated randomly after the closing date of the ballot.
