Race news: Surrey Half Marathon - March 9, 2014
Registration for runners is open until 24th February. After this date places can still be secured through our charity partners until 4th March when entry closes.
The starting gun for the 5,000-strong Surrey Half Marathon will be fired at the Guildford Spectrum Leisure Centre at 10am on Sunday 9th March with runners led by cyclists from local group WindyMilla through Woking, before turning back for the trip towards the finish line.
Six bands from Surrey playing jazz, samba, rock and more will set the pace along the route, while an expected 2,000 spectators will cheer runners on from a selection of Spectator Hotspots.
Over 240 volunteers from groups such as the Rotary, Scouts, local running clubs and Woking Angels have volunteered to help out on the day.

Elite athletes be amongst the field at the Surrey Half. Some of the world’s most competitive road racers are joining us from Keyna. They will be great for the spectators to watch, and an inspiration to the rest of the runners!
