A Trail Running Team unlike any other - no need to be an elite athlete. Apply until March 30th to be part of the Trail Running Team 2014

Be part of the Trail Running Team 2014

Last year we reported back from a fantastic new venture in running – a trail team for me and you (HERE)! Well this year it’s back and it’s even bigger and better!

The idea behind the Trail Running Team is that a group of 4 runners will win the chance to be treated like elite athletes by a group of sponsors for 2014. You don’t have to be an elite runner to enter though,  the whole idea is that it’s open to all abilities. You just need to be passionate about your trail running!

This year's Trail Running Team is a fantastic opportunity, with the four winners receiving £1,000 of Berghaus kit, £250 of TORQ nutrition and a top of the range LED Lenser head torch among other goodies. The winners will also win a trip to Chamonix for a three day training camp around the UTMB course as well as getting a place - and VIP treatment - at the Berghaus Trail Chase.

The entry process is really simple - simply click on this link: bit.ly/1kO3ChL - and enter a few details. But here’s the best bit: they will shortlist 100 trail runners from the applicants to attend one of two Trail Running Days (one in London, one in the Lake District - 50 people at each) and from that 100 they will pick the four team members. So even if you don’t make it to the final four, you have a great chance of attending one of the Trail Running Days where you will learn about kit, nutrition and physiology from  a team of experts, you’ll get to hang out with lots of like-minded runners and go for a run with them! I can’t see a reason not to enter! Get in there quick though as the competition ends at the end of this week.

About The Author

Kirsty Reade

I’d describe myself as borderline obsessed with running, racing, reading about running, and watching others run so hopefully I’m fairly typical of Run247’s visitors. I tend to do longer races, particularly off-road marathons and ultras, but am pretty much a fan of any distance. I'm passionate about helping runners of all levels to improve through running communities I'm involved in, such as Underground Ultra and Free Range Runners.
