The Road to Brighton - Part 9: Shlurp Mini Mile Races - April 5, 2014

by Editor
Friday 4th April 2014

Race feature: In the run up to the Brighton Marathon Weekend, Run247 will look at this popular event, now well established in the UK marathon calendar

The Iconiq Shlurp! Mini Mile races will form an integral part of the 2014 Brighton Marathon Weekend!

The races have this year been brought forward to the day before Marathon day, which means that the youngsters will have their own time in the spot light on Saturday 5, 2014. There is a new, more sociable, start time of 11am too and the 2014 Mini Milers will trail-blaze a brand new course in Preston Park, which will be in the form of a loop making it spectator friendly.

The races were launched in January by Lisa Dobriskey, 2006 Commonwealth champion and World silver from Berlin. (HERE). Since then entries for the The Iconiq Shlurp! Mini Mile have been pouring in and a record turn out is expected this year! (HERE)
