The Vitality Run Series is a major new annual running series, featuring eight events during 2014/15, including some of the UK’s leading half marathons and one 10k event
The Vitality Run Series is not only a collection of eight great events, it also promises the new-comers to racing to help them along every step of the way along their journey to finishing one of the races in the series.
Jessica Ennis-Hill, in her role as Vitality Ambassador for PruHealth and PruProtect, title sponsors of the series, launched the Vitality Run Series at Battersea Park (HERE). The series is expected to feature over 100,000 runners in its inaugural year. The series aims to encourage participation for all runners, experienced and beginners, and to create a vibrant community based around many of the nation’s best-loved running events.
The idea about the Viatality Run series is to pull together a collection of eight outstanding events together into one series to allow runners of any standard to have an outstanding experience. We spoke to Jon Ridgeon, director of series organisers Achieve Events, about the the thinking behind the series:
We also have a video from the press conference that gives some more information about the series and the events that are included.
