Bupa’s Your First Step campaign was set up to demonstrate that over 50s can take part in a running challenge, following research that shows that 60 per cent of UK adults believe their body will no longer be up to running once they reach 50.
Running in her first 10k at the age of 63 Jennie proved that that running doesn’t have to end at 50. She completed the race in one hour and 21 minutes after taking up running just three and a half weeks earlier.
