New Balance welcomed Vitality British 10k London runners to village of fun

As an official sponsor of the race on Sunday 13th July, which saw over 18,000 runners take part, New Balance was on hand to treat runners and spectators alike to special incentives in the New Balance Village at Waterloo Place, including a free sports massage, activities in the chill out area and great giveaways throughout the day.

Runners wearing New Balance trainers enjoyed a free sports massage in the New Balance Village in partnership with YourPhysioPlan.com, a network of expert independent physiotherapy practices across the UK, where they also received a free New Balance T-shirt and discount on a 12 month membership with YourPhysioPlan.com.

All race visitors were invited to indulge in a spot of crazy golf amongst London landmarks, enjoy live music, feast on complimentary popcorn, pose for a picture in front of Westminster Abbey and Big Ben within the photo cut out boards, and pick up the latest technical trainers from the New Balance market with sports retailer Sweatshop. Runners crossing the finish line were welcomed with a free pair of exclusive New Balance union jack trainer laces and a discount voucher for Sweatshop.

The annual race saw runners from all over come together to take part to run the iconic route through some of London’s most famous landmarks, with runner Alex Mile from YourPhysioPlan.com crossing the finish line first with the time of 0:32:09.

Samantha Matthews, New Balance marketing manager, said: “Opening the New Balance Village was a fantastic way for us to interact with runners and race supporters throughout the day with a real mix of activities and New Balance goodies up for grabs. We’re very proud of our British manufacturing, so it was fantastic to be part of such as an iconic British race.”
