Race news: The Color Run presented by Dulux - London, Sunday September 28, 2014
After holding colour crazy events across the UK, The Color Run presented by Dulux has unveiled plans for the biggest, boldest and brightest event of the year.
Color Runners will take over Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Sunday September 28th, where more than 20,000 will aim to recreate the sporting success of the London 2012 heroes!
Dubbed ‘The happiest 5k on the planet’, The Color Run is not timed, meaning groups of friends can walk, jog, dance and party their way along the course at any pace. At each kilometre, colour explosions cover runners in kaleidoscopic fashion before DJs entertain the crowd in the Colour Festival after the finish line.
Event organiser Joe Rafferty said: “We know that our London Color Runners love a party, so what better place to throw the biggest colour celebration of the year.
“We can all remember the likes of Jess Ennis and Mo Farah winning gold back in 2012, but we’ve got blue, green, orange and pink. And our music’s awesome!”
