Product news: Developed through extensive medical science SOS has 27% more electrolytes than Coconut Water, three times more electrolytes than the market leading sports drink and 75% fewer carbohydrates than most sports drinks
Electrolyte replacement hydration drink, SOS Rehydrate, has announced a new partnership with England Athletics that will see the brand provide SOS Rehydrate to all athletes selected to represent England in international matches.
SOS's mix of electrolytes helps tired bodies maximize their ability to get more out of water. The sachets available in blueberry and citrus flavour can be taken before, during or after exercise, enabling athletes to stay hydrated longer.
SOS Rehydrate founder, James Mayo, commented: “SOS is for runners by runners so we’re very excited about this partnership. We know SOS Rehydrate will help England Athletics improve performance, smash athletes PB’s and ultimately help them challenge for more medals in the future!”
Chris Jones, England Athletics CEO, added: “We’re delighted to announce SOS Rehydrate as our first ever rehydration partner. As well as providing product for our athletes and coaches, SOS experts will also be speaking to athletes and coaches at our seminars on the importance of hydration.”
Developed through extensive medical science SOS has 27% more electrolytes than Coconut Water, three times more electrolytes than the market leading sports drink and 75% fewer carbohydrates than most sports drinks.
Founder, Dr. Blanca Lizaola, commented: “SOS Rehydrate is medically proven to support performance. We’ve developed a product that doesn’t just meet world health standards and is Informed-Sport approved but is also able to provide substantial rehydration without unnecessary excess sugar”.
The partnership is very poignant to the founders of the brand. Brothers, James and Tom Mayo both competed for England. Tom was a Commonwealth Games finalist in Manchester in 2002 whilst James competed in England AA races between 1998 and 2001.
SOS Rehydrate can be purchased online at SOSRehydrate.com or at your local Sweat Shop & Up and Running running store.
