Race news: Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® - August 24-30, 2015

Following on from yesterday's press release (HERE) from the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®, that welcomed three new brands from the Columbia Sportswear Company - Columbia, Mountain Hardwear and Montrail - into its Partners Club, have received the following statement from  The North Face with regard to their relationship with the event:

The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc® will no longer be part of our marketing mix in 2015.

The North Face® is proud of the legacy it has created through the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc® that has evolved over the past twelve editions, working closely with the UTMB® organisers and the Mont Blanc community to create five races of the highest quality.

UTMB® brought us countless stories, successes and memories in addition to having enabled us to build a solid foundation in trail running - a perfect platform to continue our commitment to the sport moving forward.

The future sponsorship strategy of The North Face® will shift towards owned, new and innovative platforms but will retain key events such as The North Face® Lavaredo Ultra Trail and The North Face® Transgrancanaria, plus the continued support of our amazing athletes to share their great stories.
