Brutal women-only event

Brutal10 Women-Only - Long Valley, Hampshire, January 24, 2014

Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a mud run newbie, a regular runner or taking on a challenge as part of a team you’re bound to be in good company on the start line of a mud run.

The Brutal10 events were started in 2011 by four local athletes with a penchant for tough, muddy, hilly and wet cross country running. Based on army land, which the ex-forces members of the organising team know better than the back of their hands, Brutal10 events have grown steadily over the years and now have a strong following of “Brutaleers”, all with a passion for mud running.

Always on the look out for the “next big thing” the team noticed a gradual increase in women-only mud runs over in America. These events focussed on providing a tough course for female runners to complete with their friends, with an emphasis on creating a fun experience.

As the newest (and only female) member of the team, Becky decided this was all a good idea. A great course offering all the usual tough Brutal elements (hills, mud, water obstacles, swamp and more hills) but no boys and a chance to focus on having a really great time. The Brutal10 Women-Only event was born!

Join us on 24th January for our inaugural Women-Only event and complete a 5km or 10km course. Canicross welcome. It won’t be easy, but it will be bags of fun. Come prepared!
