Race news: The John Flitch Memorial Mountain Bike Duathlon - January 11, 2015

The John Flitch Memorial Mountain Bike Duathlon, which takes place on January 11th 2015, is the ideal event for athletes or mountain bikers looking to stretch their legs after the Christmas and New Year holiday. The race, named after long-time Thanet Roadrunners member John Flitch, traditionally features very tricky conditions and the crossing of several deep water-filled dykes.

The off-road mountain bike duathlon consists of a 2.4 mile road run, followed by a 7.5 mile mountain-biking cross-country, ending with a 4.5 mile cross-country run.  The event kicks off at 10:30am in Birchington-on-Sea, Kent and is an ideal opportunity to blow out any New Year cobwebs.

Advanced entry costs £30, or £45 for a team of two and £50 for a team of three.
