Race news: Vitality North London Half Marathon - Sunday, March 15, 2015

If you were one of the many runners who missed this week’s deadline to take part in the first ever Vitality North London Half Marathon, never fear, as due to popular demand, registrations have been extended until midday Friday 20th February!

The brand new course boasts a unique Stadium to Stadium experience, starting at Allianz Park, home of the mighty Saracens Rugby Club, taking runners through Wembley Stadium, connected by EE, the iconic home of English football! Designed with sports fans in mind, participants will also be treated to double Olympic, World and six time European Champion Mo Farah as their race starter!

Jamie Warren, Head of Marketing and Commercial at GO2, said: “The Greenlands area of North London is the perfect setting to take in all that the London Borough of Barnet has to offer. The inaugural Vitality North London Half Marathon is the latest race to add to our growing portfolio, however it is the only one of its kind where we have successfully linked up with not one, but two great sporting venues! This is guaranteed to make it a really special event for all involved, and we couldn’t resist giving our runners a few more days to secure their place!

“Whether you are a seasoned pro, or running a half marathon distance for the first time, we have created a race that will appeal to everybody. The pace will suit our pros, whereas the thrill of running through Wembley Stadium and the cheering crowds at Allianz Park will give our first timers and fundraisers that extra surge of motivation to push them through the 13.1 mile course.

The Vitality North London Half Marathon prides itself on being a race for everyone! The welcoming and supportive environment will ensure the 2015 race is one to remember. For the more seasoned runner, the race is taking place exactly six weeks before the London Marathon, making it the perfect event for those training miles in preparation for the big day!

All runners will receive their very own medal, goody bag and a technical t-shirt designed by footwear, apparel and accessories specialist Brooks.
