Charity feature: The Christie encourages participants in the Great Manchester Run to consider fundraising
Spring is just around the corner and runners all over the Northwest are dusting down their trainers. We are less than two months away from the epic Great Manchester Run and most people have started their training. But have you started fundraising? Have you considered fundraising? It may be easier than you think.
40,000 runners will take on the City centre route in the Great Manchester Run, which is the same amount of people as patients treated by The Christie each year. 2015 is a challenging year for The Christie with the introduction of the UK's first Proton Beam cancer treatment, a less intrusive method than chemotherapy or radiotherapy, which is especially effective at treating children and young people. We need your help.
If you already have a place in the Great Manchester Run, why not set up a
Justgiving.com page and fundraise for The Christie? Its as simply as posting your just giving page link on social media or sending it to friends via email asking them to support your challenge. Every penny makes a difference!
