Race news: High intensity Music Zones and new partnership with Deezer injects even more energy into London’s only Music 10K - Wembley Park, September 13, 2015

Taking over Wembley Park on September 13th, Sure Run to the Beat is excited to announce a big transformation to its 10K course for 2015. Runners will be treated to a whole new music experience, with four high intensity music zones, improved music points and an exciting partnership with leading music streaming service, Deezer. The 2015 event is gearing up to be the biggest Sure Run to the Beat to date.
Keeping runners pumped as they make their way around the course, each of the four high intensity music zones will feature its own unique theme and Live DJ. These areas will offer a high intensity mix of sounds and visual experiences, keeping runners energised with music tailored to key segments of the run.
As runners cross the start line they’ll be immersed in the atmosphere of Electric Avenue, where the lights are bright and the energy is high. The fast tempo and amazing atmosphere in this zone will inspire runners to channel their adrenaline into a strong start.
The second zone will harness the Sounds of Summer, where participants will be treated to festival vibes and summer sounds whilst running through Fryent Country Park. The Live DJ set will give runners that extra push as they celebrate breaking through the half-way point.
The penultimate experience area will be delivered by drinks brand Erdinger Alkoholfrei, with crowd entertainment to guide runners into the final stretch. Then, the fourth and final zone will be down to Sure Run to the Beat fans to determine the theme. Placed within the final kilometre of the course, runners will be able to choose the music to motivate them across the finish line, with a competition to name the zone going live on the Sure UK social media pages in the coming weeks.
These new zones, together with the other music stations, will deliver an incredible, immersive experience for every runner. As if that wasn’t enough, the event has also established a partnership with Deezer to deliver an Official Profile & Radio Channel with carefully curated motivational playlists with the help of Deezer’s expert editors. Participants can view the Official Profile here http://dzr.fm/SureRunToTheBeat
The Sure Run to the Beat Official Profile will be a one stop shop to help runners find the inspirational music they need to dig deep and boost performance and will also feature playlists selected by the performing DJs. This will not only provide runners with motivational playlists to train with, but will also give them inspiration on the day. For the first time ever carefully curated playlists will help participants to run faster, keep their energy up in between the music zones. Runners will be encouraged to plug into specified playlists via the Deezer app at certain points on the course to boost them with energy and keep them pumped up as they enter the famous Festival Finish.
To celebrate the day’s achievements and to round off the summer in true Sure Run to the Beat style, the headline act will provide an epic after party atmosphere at the Festival Finish. With a DJ announcement to be made in the coming months; incredible music, a pumping beat and summer vibes are guaranteed to provide a running experience like no other.
James Robinson, Managing Director of Event Organisers IMG Challenger World enthused: “We’ve listened carefully to the feedback of our runners and as a result are upping our own tempo and putting a huge amount of energy in to creating an even better Sure Run to the Beat in 2015. The event will become a fully immersive music experience like nothing our runners have experienced before so we’re really excited to be unveiling these first details today.”
Christian Harris, UK & Ireland Country Manager, Deezer added: “We’re really looking forward to working with Sure Run to the Beat in 2015. The Official Profile and Radio Channel are already up and running with some great tracks to motivate runners for their training and even more great content scheduled for the coming months to prepare everyone for an epic event day come September.”
