This weekend runners will be gathering in London for the Bupa Westminster Mile & Bupa London 10,000

Bupa Westminster Mile - London, Sunday, May 24, 2015
The 2015 Bupa Westminster Mile is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Steve Cram’s world mile record of 3:46.32, set in Bislet in 1985, which still stands as the British and European record.
More than 90 former British Olympians will reunite to line up for The Olympians mile at the Bupa Westminster Mile. The field of famous faces from Olympic Games dates back to 1948. (HERE)
David Weir and Marcel Hug will go head-to-head over one mile in a two-pronged attack on the three-minute barrier. The two titans of men’s wheelchair racing will not only battle each other on the roads around St James’s Park, but take on the clock too as they seek to make history by becoming the first wheelchair racers to complete the iconic distance in under three minutes. Bupa London 10,000 - Monday, May 25, 2015
The Bupa London 10,000 incorporates the British Athletics 10km Championships for men and women. The runners will start on The Mall in St James's Park, run east down the Strand before heading into the City of London over Holborn Viaduct. They will return down Whitehall and Birdcage Walk to finish on Spur Road outside Buckingham Palace.
Britain’s European 10,000m champion Jo Pavey will be the headline star when some 12,000 people will race over a scenic 10km course around the historic streets of the capital.
