Race news: Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to host inaugural UK edition of The Color Run Night
After the sell-out success of The Color Run at Wembley Park in June, the ‘Happiest 5k’ on the planet is returning to the capital on September 5th 2015, when Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park plays host to the first ever UK edition of The Color Run Night.
When the September sun goes down, thousands of runners will light up London as they make their way through illuminated ‘Color Zones’ , bubble stations and blacklight areas, before crossing the finish line to enjoy an incredible night time, glow in the dark ‘Color Throw’ festival finish.
The event will be the first ever The Color Run Night to take place in the UK and ‘Color Runners’ will be treated to special colour packets, an awesome glow in the dark tee, face tattoos and a blacklight headlamp!
Famous for being the ‘Happiest 5k’ on the planet, The Color Run is an untimed event that groups of friends, families and colleagues across the UK have embraced in epic style. The spirit of the event remains the same, but with added incredible glow in the dark ‘Color Throws’, new bubble and blacklight zones, colour crazy giveaways, a shiny new glow in the dark race pack, awesome music and a bucket load of fun on the agenda – and this time it all takes place under the night sky!
