Taking over Wembley Park on September 13th, Sure Run to the Beat 2015 is back, with a strong line-up of DJs ready to entertain and motivate runners as they make their way around the 10K course. As runners enter the Festival Finish they’ll be treated to an amazing party atmosphere with BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Capital Radio DJ and presenter of BBC’s The Voice Marvin Humes, and TV and Radio Presenter Jameela Jamil all taking to the stage.

Adding to the roster, staged at various locations out on the course are Capital Xtra’s Jay London, female DJ duo Kat & Birdy plus up and coming 16-year-old DJ Goofey. Promising to bring a great experience, awesome party tunes and a whole load of fun, these on course DJs along with four new high intensity music zones will be providing the energy and motivation for runners to dig deep and complete their 10K.

With 1.8 million people tuning in to his Dance Anthems show on BBC Radio 1 every weekend, Danny Howard has fast become DJ royalty. Playing sets at world renowned venues and parties such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha, the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Spinnin’ and Perfecto parties in Miami -he’s one not to be missed.

Gearing up for his Sure Run to the Beat debut, Danny commented: “I can’t wait to be part of the Sure Run to the Beat event in London and create a buzz for all the runners. I’ve chosen tracks that will keep everyone bouncing on route and ensure they’re ready to party and celebrate at the finish line - I hope they’re as ready as I am!”

Former JLS band member, Marvin Humes has come a long way since his X-Factor days, transforming in to one of the UK’s most in demand DJs. Marvin can usually be heard on Capital FM prime time slots and is often seen performing at venues around the globe.

Commenting on his upcoming performance at Sure Run to the Beat, Marvin said: “It sounds like such a fun event, I’m looking forward to pumping up the crowds with some great motivational beats and creating an awesome party atmosphere. Getting to play epic tunes to thousands of runners is a pretty unique gig – I can’t wait!”

TV and Radio presenter, Jameela Jamil is back for her second time playing at Sure Run to the Beat. The first ever female host of Radio 1’s The Official Chart Show, Jameela has also hosted a range of shows such as Koko Pop, Playing It Straight and the Radio 1 Request Show on Sunday Evenings.

Excited to play at Sure Run to the Beat in 2015, Jameela enthused: “I really enjoyed performing at Run to the Beat in 2012; it was an awesome day.  I’m getting ready to bring end-of-summer, festival vibes to the after party and to celebrate with runners as they cross the finish line.”

James Robinson, Managing Director of Event Organisers IMG Challenger World said: “This year we’ll see three of the best DJs London has to offer at the Festival Finish as well as other great up and coming DJs out on the route. It’s going to be another fantastic year for Sure Run to the Beat and we’re looking forward to welcoming our 2015 runners to the start line.”

Taking place on Sunday 13th September 2015, Sure Run to the Beat is London’s only music 10K. The event will see thousands of runners, of all abilities, taking to the streets of London, motivated by music provided by a selection of the UK’s best DJs, organised by official music partner, City Showcase.
