As well as variations in the weather, the route has been adapted throughout the years, and the abover times are therefore not comparable like for like.

** Due to bad weather the course for the 2012 UTMB® was amended to keep participants in France to avoid the high altitude passes. The new route was a little more than 100km long, with almost 6000m of height gain, with both start and finish in Chamonix.

* Due to bad weather the 2010 UTMB was abandoned at the 31k (Les Contamines). It was then decided to race over the CCC course (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix) the next morning, ie 98.5 km to 5618 m of positive ascent.
