Race news: Cheltenham’s Half Marathon - Sunday, September 27, 2015
GO2, organisers of Cheltenham’s Half Marathon, are pleased to announce Whole Foods Market Cheltenham as headline race sponsors for the 2015 event.
Tony Edge, Cheltenham Store Manager, said: “Since we opened our doors in 2012 we have tried to be a very good neighbour, buying local food, helping local charities, and we are thrilled to now be supporting Cheltenham’s Half Marathon. We would like to wish all the runners a great race on Sunday 27th September! May the weather be perfect and the PB’s be bountiful!
“Remember to share your experiences with us on our social media channels, if you tweet or post us make sure you copy in your charity and we will share with our customers. And if you come to the Cheltenham store in your running gear after the race, I will personally buy you a celebratory drink! Good luck!”
Cheltenham’s Half Marathon, sponsored by Whole Foods Market, has continued to grow in popularity with entry numbers to date near doubling the level of runners that took to the streets of Cheltenham in 2014.
Jamie Warren, Head of Marketing and Commercial at GO2, said: "Cheltenham’s Half Marathon was designed specifically to be a celebration of all things great in this historic town, from the route our runners will follow, to the charity affiliations and commercial partners we build relationships with. Whole Foods Market is a unique staple retailer in the area, and has perfect synergy with the positive lifestyle we actively promote through our races.”
Participants will be treated to all that this beautiful spa town has to offer, taking them along the broad, tree-lined avenues and captivating scenery. The course combines regency splendour with bags of Cotswold charm! The 13.1 mile journey will start and finish next to Pittville Park, taking in the sights of the tree-lined Promenade towards Montpellier, and the broad, flat streets of Lansdown Road.
