Sure Run to the Beat 2015 Entry Includes Performances from Danny Howard, Marvin Humes and Jameela Jamil
Set for another epic event at London’s iconic Wembley Park, Sure Run to the Beat is back on Sunday September 13th 2015. The 10K music driven event features new immersive music zones plus a host of incredible live DJs, including BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Capital Radio DJ and presenter of BBC’s The Voice Marvin Humes, and TV and Radio Presenter Jameela Jamil.
Entries close at midnight on Sunday 6th September and participants are being encouraged to sign-up at www.runtothebeat.co.uk before it’s too late.
The 10K course will see thousands of runners, of all abilities, taking to the city streets, completing their Sunday morning fitness challenge, whilst listening to pumping tunes as musical motivation. A truly unique event, Sure Run to the Beat brings together its participants passion for running, fitness and awesome party tunes!
Promising to bring an unforgettable running experience, numerous DJs will be stationed across the route providing the energy and inspiration for participants to dig deep and complete the race. Capital Xtra’s Jay London, female DJ duo Kat & Birdy plus up and coming 16-year-old DJ Goofy are among those getting ready to energise the crowds.
Crossing the finish line feeling energised by the incredible music and morning’s exercise, runners will then get the chance to round off the day in style at the famous Festival Finish. Celebrating their achievements, Capital Radio DJ and presenter of BBC’s The Voice Marvin Humes and TV and Radio Presenter Jameela Jamil will be on hand to provide an amazing party atmosphere.
Commenting on his upcoming performance at Sure Run to the Beat, Marvin said: “It sounds like such a fun event, I’m looking forward to pumping up the crowds with some great motivational beats and creating an awesome party atmosphere. Getting to play epic tunes to thousands of runners is a pretty unique gig – I can’t wait!”
Excited to play at Sure Run to the Beat in 2015, Jameela enthused: “I really enjoyed performing at Run to the Beat in 2012; it was an awesome day. I’m getting ready to bring end-of-summer, festival vibes to the after party and to celebrate with runners as they cross the finish line.”
Kick starting the musical journey will be BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard who will be playing the warm up stage and getting runners ready as they prepare themselves for the start line.
Gearing up for his Sure Run to the Beat debut, Danny commented: “I can’t wait to be part of the Sure Run to the Beat event in London and create a buzz for all the runners. I’ve chosen tracks that will keep everyone bouncing on route and ensure they’re ready to party and celebrate at the finish line - I hope they’re as ready as I am!”
