Product feature: We take a look at the new collection from Bellum Active, a women’s sport and fitness clothing range founded and designed by Jodi Kerschl

A relatively new collection on the running scene, Bellum Active has made its entrance this year notching up two award wins at the recent Women’s Running Awards.

Starting off as a gym fanatic…

Jodi turned her sights to running and eventually triathlon. As an age grouper, Jodi has taken part in many events from 5km to marathons (her most recent being VLM 2014 where she clocked her PB of 3:46). Jodi’s triathlon career spanned Sprint distance right through to Ironman. She recently took 4th position in her age group in the 2015 London Half Duathlon.

Jodi’s philosophy is…

A ‘healthy mind and body is a fit body’. Her goal was to create a range of sports and activewear that set the standard in comfort, performance and style to reflect her passion, dedication and love of fitness.

Bellum is a Latin war cry…

Meaning 'If you want peace, prepare for war.' Jodi and her team decided to put their own spin on the translation - 'strength within peace'. The perfect strapline, we think, from a very strong, independent, ambitious designer wanting to create a brand to empower women, to give them strength and support them on their journey to health, wellbeing and happiness.

Bellum’s hottest piece right now is the coral Chelsea Tank with its fab feature back straps, iPod loop and loose fitting, super soft hem for max comfort.
