Race news: Ikano Robin Hood Marathon, Half Marathon and Mini Marathon - Nottingham, Sunday, September 25, 2016

The wait is over, it’s time to lace up those trainers and start getting race ready for your 2016 challenge as the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon, Half Marathon and Mini Marathon returns to Nottingham on Sunday 25th September 2016. Don’t delay - sign up now for early bird entry and join Robin Hood and his merry men from across the country at this hugely popular event.
The 2015 picturesque new route included more of Nottingham’s landmarks than ever before and certainly impressed participants with the sights of the city while putting them through their paces. Yet more exciting news follows as race organiser, Sweatshop and Nottingham City Council have been working hard to develop new and improved elements for the 2016 event.
Judith Manson, Race Director comments; “We had great feedback on the new-look course from participants and spectators alike. The addition of iconic landmarks really enhanced runners’ experience and we’re dedicated to ensuring the 2016 event is even better. Once all is revealed we know runners will be as excited as we are!”
Now in its 36th year, the event is predicted to welcome up to 10,000 runners to the half marathon and up to 2,000 runners to line up for the full marathon. Sweatshop confirms the half marathon and marathon course is ideal for seasoned athletes and beginners alike. The 1.5 mile mini marathon also provides the perfect option to run together with children and family.
