The SCOTT Sports Snowdonia Trail Marathon 2016 is close to selling out for the second successive year.
The marathon, which ran for the first time last year, finished in the top 3 at the National Running Awards in the ‘Best New Event’ category earlier in the year.
Now into its second year, the event is going from strength to strength with less than 80 places remaining.
The SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon is a challenge in the true sense of the word! Ascending 1685m over 26 miles of iconic and spectacular trails, this epic race will circumnavigate and eventually climb Wales’ highest peak, Snowdon.
The route explores the stunning trails, spectacular views and tough climbs that make Snowdonia National Park such a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts.
Visiting Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant, Pen y Pass and Snowdon itself, there surely can’t be a more striking trail marathon route in the UK.
A half marathon option is also available, taking in some of the same fantastic trails as the full marathon, as well as Padarn country park.
There will also be masses to see and do to keep the thousands of spectators that are expected to descend on Llanberis entertained. This will include, music, a wide range of activities and tonnes of kids’ entertainment too!
