If you’re looking for a fantastic running adventure that’s still relatively unknown amongst UK runners you could take a look at Ehunmilak.
First question - how do you say that? Apparently it’s ‘ee-oon-mee-yak’ and it means ‘100 miles’ in the Basque language. Which answers our second question - it takes place in Beasain in the Goierri region of the Basque Country, northern Spain.

There are 3 races to choose from: the Ehunmilak Ultra-Trail (168km with 11,000m of ascent), the G2haundiak Goierri Trail (88km with 6,000m of ascent) and the Marimurumendi Marathon (2300m of ascent).

It boasts incredible scenery, super tough trails, plenty of personality and fantastic organisation. We will be out there next weekend and look forward to telling you all about it.
