Organisers of the Plusnet Yorkshire 10 Mile have announced entries for this year’s event will open at 9am on Monday 25th July. The event – which sold out in 2015 – is expected to be hugely-popular once more.
Starting and finishing at the University of York, the Plusnet Yorkshire 10 Mile will take part alongside the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 9th October and take in a section of the attractive 26.2 mile course.
The 10 mile entrants will get to soak up the unique atmosphere and enjoy the support of the large and enthusiastic crowds that have become such a feature of the marathon since its launch in 2013.

Charlie Tatman, of the Plusnet Yorkshire 10 Mile, said: “The 10 mile event brings a great new dimension to the popular Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon. There is always a fantastic atmosphere on marathon race day and the 10 mile run gives more people the opportunity to be involved.”
People taking part in the Plusnet Yorkshire 10 Mile can raise money for a good cause of their own choice or for one of the event’s partner charities which are Martin House Children’s Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support, Candlelighters, JDRF, St Gemma’s Hospice, St Leonard’s Hospice, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, the Stroke Association, The Children’s Hospital Charity and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
