Lizzy Hawker completes FKT of the Tour de Monte Rosa

Lizzy Hawker has just completed a solo foot circumnavigation of Monte Rosa on the Tour de Monte Rosa.

This involved approximately 170km and 11,700m of elevation change in just over 37 hours. She returned to Grachen after leaving the church square at 4am on Friday. You can see her route on her tracker here.

This is the route that Lizzy uses for her race, the Ultra Tour Monte Rosa. It will take place from September 1st to 3rd this year and it can be done either as a 3 day stage race or a 1 day event.

Following her epic run round the Tour de Monte Rosa, which was the fastest known time for doing so, Lizzy told her wellwishers "Wow. What a journey! Thank you for sharing it with me."
