London Duathlon and Descente have agreed a partnership that sees the Run/Bike/Run event re-named Descente London Duathlon. Descente, the global sports brand, with a new flagship store in Foubert’s Place, Carnaby Street, London, is introducing the finest products designed by cutting-edge technology. Descente is also supporting each participant’s journey by providing a complimentary technical race cycling jersey or t shirt.
Descente’s title partnership adds to London Duathlon’s other partnerships, which includes Cancer Research UK, Dennis Publishing (including Coach, Men’s Fitness and Women’s Fitness), Perfect Balance Clinics, Embrace Sports, Digme Fitness and British Bike Hire.
The London Duathlon is the world’s largest duathlon, playing host to 5,000 duathletes and runners, with this year’s sold-out event set to be the biggest ever in the history of the sport. The event caters for all abilities with a wide variety of distances, including Duathlon (59k), Half Duathlon (32k), Ultra (107k) and Team Relay (59k). This year a new challenge is included with the addition of Run10 London’s newest 10k closed road run through the stunning surroundings of Richmond Park.
“It is such an honour to be a part of London Duathlon and to meet its participants and fans. We look forward to supporting this outstanding event and to see the sport grow. We are very positive that our commitments to quality products will make everyone enjoy sports & healthy life style,” says Jaewhan Kim, Marketing Director of Descente Global Retail.
Descente London Duathlon will take place in Richmond Park on Sunday 18 September 2016.
