Entries for the award winning SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon 2017 open at mid-day on Friday 14th October, with the event expected to sell out for a third successive year.
Taking place in Llanberis, North Wales, on Sunday 23rd July 2017, the SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon has been called ‘the toughest marathon distance event in the UK’ and ‘one of the finest European trail marathons’ by past entrants.
In 2016, the Snowdonia Trail Marathon was nominated as one of the best new events at the National Running Awards, and has been longlisted again in 2017.
Starting and finishing in Llanberis, the routes follow some of the most breathtaking and challenging trail routes that Snowdonia National Park has to offer. You’ll visit Rhydd ddu, Beddgelert, the beautiful Nant Gwynant, Pen y Pass before ascending and descending Snowdon itself on an epic lap of this incredible part of the world!
In addition to the marathon distance, the hugely popular half marathon and 10k trail races are two of the most challenging in the country, and feature many of the same hilly trails as the full race.
The SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon 2017 is expected to sell out in record time, with event organisers Always Aim High Events advising entry as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
