With only three full-time members of staff, Hampshire-based charity Orangutan Appeal UK faces quite a challenge when it comes to recruiting fundraisers.

This year however the charity’s dedicated supporters really stepped up to the plate to do their bit for the now critically endangered orangutans.

Having nine runners in the Great North Run, almost double the amount of participants from the year before has meant the charity can now increase the amount of places in the 2017 run.

Along with several other nationwide runs, entrants in the Great North Run are essential in helping raise vital funds for the orangutans.

2017 places are now available. If you would like to join the team and do something amazing next year contact Robyn on admin7@orangutan-appeal.org.uk for information or to register interest.
