If you’re one of those people who like a good New Year’s resolution then it’s likely you’ll be thinking about how best to kickstart your 2017 running campaign. To give you the best possible chance of success here are some expert tips from Saucony's very own GB and England Athletics coach Nick Anderson.
  • Respect the level of health and fitness you have when you take those first steps
  • Take time to buy the correct trainers for your running style
  • Run first thing in the morning and your metabolism will remain elevated all day
  • Set small goals that are achievable each week and every few days
  • Run with other people and you won’t let them down as easily
  • Choose exciting, different and varied routes
  • Focus on never being hungry and never being over full
  • Enjoy good quality whole grain carbohydrates and good quality choices of protein which are all lower in fat
