I tried out two Craft items: the Breakaway jacket and the Cool Mesh Superlight top.
Initially when taking it out of the bag I liked the design, the craft name was embossed on the front and very attractively down the left hand side. There were two pockets located on the front of the jacket, both very easy to get to whilst running. There was a small one at the top and a larger one below. The base has a drawstring to keep the fit close. I chose size Medium and was very impressed with the fit, for me anyway it fitted very nicely, and was extremely comfortable. Arms perfect length, fitting snugly around the wrists.
The first time I tried the jacket properly was not on a run, but a long walk along the coast in Yorkshire. I then used it for lots of runs after this. Initially I found it certainly offers some protection from wind, but I did find, during my week in Yorkshire, it does have its limits. High winds off the North Sea still got me pretty chilled (probably my own fault for not having sufficient layers on). I found it ideal for running though, especially along the windy beaches and coast line when it's not quite warm enough for shirts. I found it very comfortable to run in, and fits very nicely.
The quality seems very good. The zips on the pockets work without issue, even when running. I wear my phone on my left arm whilst running to record the run and also sometimes for music purposes, this is held in place quite tightly by a rubber / Velcro holder, this has caused some bobbling on the material of the arm.
I really like this jacket and have used it endlessly since when the weather demands it. Really very impressed - great design, quality, and fit.
Again I had this in medium. The item is designed as a base layer - it has a mesh design and is sleeveless. It is designed to keep your body dry during exercise. The item was packaged very nicely in a very attractive box, which made it look great quality and it was packaged very nicely inside.
The item is body hugging and very comfortable, the mesh design certainly works to keep you cool during exercise. It also means the item is partially see-through, so it’s not suitable to to wear on its own unless you like to pose and have the body to pull it off.
I have worn this item regularly as a base layer when running, and found it very comfortable and useful as an additional layer. In fact it can be worn well with the jacket I tested. The design is attractive, and as a base layer the sleeveless design works well, providing the temperature is not too low, or you would be looking for something more substantial.
A comfortable, well-designed item, that does what it says it should.
I have used both items regularly and washed them several times in a standard dark load at 40c, no issues with either.
