Ten years is a long time in the world of running shoe technology but one shoe has ridden it out better than most - the Saucony Ride!
Saucony has just released the 10th incarnation of their successful shoe, called, appropriately enough, the Ride 10!
So what’s new about the Ride 10?
-
Featuring a re-engineered outsole and midfoot configuration, the Ride 10 is a different beast altogether. The TRI-FLEX outsole has been reconfigured for an improved mix of flexibility and protection.
-
Having removed the SRCTM (Super Rebound Compound) landing zone, to allow for a smoother transition, Saucony have also upgraded the midsole compound from SSLTM (Saucony Super Lite) EVA to PowerFoamTM. PowerFoam is lighter and 50% more responsive than the SSL EVA, resulting in an extremely responsive feel.
-
The shoe also features Saucony’s revolutionary EVERUNTM Topsole construction for enhanced energy return and continuous cushioning throughout the run.
-
Adding to the refresh is the brand new engineered mesh upper that not only provides enhanced breathability, but is stronger and more flexible than standard mesh. Both strong and flexible, the engineered mesh helps to support the foot yet provide a dynamic, adaptive and fluid fit. A woven wrap adds additional structure and support around the heel area.
