Are you a runner who likes to cross-train? If you're into your yoga, spin, HIIT or if you're interested in seeing how meditation and mindfulness could help you, this could be the festival for you. So many different activities, all in one event.
Following the success of the first Soul Circus yoga and wellness festival in 2016, this year’s dates, prices and line-up have been announced. Taking place in the beautiful Cotswolds from 18-20 August the event is destined to draw a big crowd of self-respecting yogis seeking to enhance their spiritual energy and bring a new dimension to their yoga journey.
The brainchild of husband and wife team Ella and Roman Wroath, the event was created to offer a refreshing take on the ever increasing and hugely popular yoga lifestyle. At its very core is a clever combination of the duo’s personal passion for yoga and wellness together with fun, music, delectable food with a local provenance and sustainability. What’s more, with camping, glamping or a pop-up hotel stay, the result is a fabulous weekend that will see festival goers enthused, uplifted, energised and motivated.
Bigger and better than the first, this year’s festival will offer larger spaces for challenging yoga classes with incredible teachers who will inspire, guide and lend life wisdom. From sunrise yoga to aerial and pole yoga, to uplifting Rocket, the choice is plentiful. Working in conjunction with Psycle London, this year’s event also sees a stronger offering in other fitness realms, with Spin, Pilates, HIIT as well as dynamic dance and movement workshops lined up to deliver an all-embracing proposition.
Classes are complemented with authoritative speakers and life coaches including one of the most successful love coaches in the UK, Persia Lawson, and Nige and Elloa Atkinson, husband and wife who have co-written the ground-breaking new book, Odd Man Out: Breaking The Vow of Male Silence.
In addition, there will be mindfulness and meditation workshops, headlined by the UK’s much loved music talent and actor, the brilliant Will Young, and a dedicated space for male health and wellness – with a particular focus on mental health hosted by Warrior Wear. What’s more, there will be a stunning luxury lakeside Bamford Haybarn Spa in which to unwind and relax with a choice of massage and alternative therapies, hot tubs and saunas.
The weekend’s music offering will work in synergy with the festival goers’ mood throughout the course of the day and into the evening with buskers, bands and a DJ after-party in the woods all coming together to deliver an awesome atmosphere. Supported by Music Crowns which will bring the best of new music talent to the festival, by day, soothing acoustics, beautiful gongs and uplifting Kirtan will create a sense of peace and harmony, whilst at night, beats and bass from talented bands and DJs including headliners, Backbeat Soundsystem and Ben Grooves will be sure to get the party started.
To ensure revellers are nourished from the inside out, the food offering has one mission – to fuel soul searchers and keep them energised all weekend. With The Holistic Chef Jamie Rafferty at the helm, whatever the taste preference and whether the goal is to detox or retox, food will be fresh, locally sourced and produced and filled with plenty of juicy goodness. Aside from the main festival café, Solar Kitchen Café, the Pantry, Market Place, Dining Room & Counter Bar, Supper Clubs and a VIP Retreat – complete with dine on demand and a concierge – will provide something for every palette.
From funky dance tunes to blissfully laid back melodies, to live bands, the roster of musical talent is slated to be utterly impressive. Wash it all down with some fresh juice or locally produced cider, gin, organic bio-dynamic wine or a playful glass of Moët & Chandon from the Champagne bar.
Commenting on the event in its lead-up, Ella and Roman Wroath said: “Having been to a number of yoga festivals over the years, nothing was quite hitting the spot and providing everything we felt self-respecting yogis really wanted from an event of this kind. The success of the first festival was amazing and that provided us with a big boost to our drive and determination to make the second bigger, better and more beneficial for those attending. We are so excited about what’s on offer this August and feel positive that Soul Circus is just going to grow and grow.”
Collaborating with the likes of Rude Health, Psycle London, Moët & Chandon, The Pop Up Hotel, Bobble, Bamford, Warrior Wear and many more inspiring partner brands, Soul Circus 2017 will undoubtedly deliver an ultra-cool, inspirational, motivating and fabulously fun weekend.
