Do you love OCR? And do you love running long distances? How about combining the two? An OCR race, with tough obstacles, but you get to keep going for 5 hours, doing as many laps as you can! That’s Total Warrior’s Ultra Warrior!

As if Total Warrior wasn’t already tough enough, the Northern powerhouse in obstacle course racing will again this year offer up an extension of their main events in Ultra Warrior

After its success in 2017 (its debut year!), Ultra Warrior will grace the Sunday of both events in Leeds (June 23rd/24th) and the Lake District (August 4th/5th), certainly one for those who fancy themselves as the ‘Ultimate Warrior’ as such!

With one lap of Total Warrior’s infamous course timed and suitable for all levels of fitness, this year’s course will be littered with yet more exciting new obstacles, 25 of them combining to challenge racers with the ultimate test of strength, stamina, determination and teamwork!

Total Warrior

Our pick of these has to be ‘The Waterfall’ (brand new for 2018!) - a truly unique obstacle which sees runners scrambling up and over a series of walls whilst contending with water gushing down from above!

With that in mind, how does it sound to take these on MULTIPLE times?

That’s exactly the challenge that Ultra Warrior presents, as competitors can battle it out to run as many 10 -12K laps as they can in five hours!

With just 150 spots up for grabs on each day, Ultra Warrior will have checkpoints for both full laps and half laps, with the warrior who completes the most number of laps or half laps in the fastest possible time crowned champion!

For those of you looking to make a late podium push in your preparations, it’s worth noting that 2 lappers will earn themselves the accolade of ‘Bronze Warrior’, 3 lappers, ‘Silver Warrior’ and 4 lappers, ‘Gold Warrior’. The ultimate title, ‘Platinum Warrior’, for those who can manage five or more laps!

As always, the event entry includes a race headband, tee shirt, well deserved finisher beer and of course, bragging rights.

Set in some beautiful parts of the countryside, what not better way to spend your weekend?!

If you’re curious to find out more head to www.totalwarrior.co.uk for a full breakdown of their 2018 events.

Good luck!
